Thrifty wins coveted ESi Award

Based on a survey of over 3,000 Australian consumers, Thrifty has been announced as the easiest car rental company to do business with at the 2013 Australian Service Excellence Awards.

Thrifty won a coveted ESi Award at the Customer Service Institute of Australia's (CSIA) 12th annual gala awards night on Wednesday 9th October.

ESi Award winners were chosen based on a national online survey about the overall ease of doing business with more than 300 businesses across 22 product and service categories.

Thrifty Acting CEO Michael Lamb said the win was a milestone for the business, and testament to the hard work, commitment and dedication of the Thrifty team across the country.

"This is a huge honour, especially because we were voted number one by the people who matter most – our customers," Mr Lamb said.
"We've worked hard to create a streamlined and seamless experience for our customers, and this award will only spur us on to continue making it even easier," he said.

The ESi Award category was introduced to the Australian Service Excellence Awards for the first time this year to provide a more inclusive, customer-focused awards category.

Winners were chosen based solely on the customer experience as determined by their direct feedback.
