Thrifty recognised for customer service excellence

Thrifty Car Rental has been shortlisted as a finalist for an ESi Award as part of the 2013 Australian Service Excellence Awards.

Based on a survey of over 3000 Australian consumers, Thrifty was identified by customers as one of the easiest organisations to do business with.

Thrifty Acting CEO Michael Lamb said the nomination is testament to Thrifty's customer-focused culture.
"We were thrilled simply to be nominated for such a prestigious award, but to have been shortlisted as a finalist is proof we strive everyday to put our customers' needs first," Mr Lamb said.
"It's inspiring for the team to get this kind of recognition, and it will spur us on to continue finding ways to improve the car rental experience for the people who matter most – our customers," he said.

The ESi Award recognises Australia's top-performing organisations based on direct customer feedback in a survey of 300 businesses across 22 product and service categories.

Thrifty has been selected as a finalist in the Car Rental category as part of the Customer Service Institue of Australia's (CSIA) Australian Service Excellence Awards program.

Previous Award winners include Medicare, NSW Police Force, ANZ Bank, Brisbane City Council, Woolworths and Virgin Blue.
Winners of the ESi Award will be announced at a gala presentation dinner in Melbourne on Wednesday 9 October 2013.
