Things to see and do with a rental car in the Karratha region

You’ll find the city of Karratha in the Pilbara region of north-western Australia, and there’s plenty to explore in this unique area. From beautiful beaches and heritage trails to national parks and more, there truly is something that will appeal to everyone.
For beach-goers, Point Samson is a sheltered spot that’s perfect for snorkelling, fishing, or just laying down a towel and relaxing with family and friends. But if you’re feeling more adventurous, Karratha’s got you covered with loads of great open space for motorbike riding and four-wheel driving! There’s also the local Leisureplex if you want to partake in some gym classes or indoor sport activities, and the Red Dog statue at Dampier is a true local icon.
If you like getting out in nature, you can hike down the Cossack Heritage Trail or the Yaburara Heritage Trail. You could even take a walk around Millstream National Park – with its deep gorges and palm-fringed rock pools, it’s truly one of a kind.
