Things to see and do with a rental car in Clayton

There are so many sights to see in the suburb of Clayton, and you’re sure to pick up a bargain at one of the many boutique fashion outlets. Then once you’ve worked up an appetite, you can try some of the fantastic dining options, such as Ping’s Dumpling Kitchen, the Middle Fish Thai Restaurant and Sue’z Delights Malaysian Restaurant. If you’re looking for something a little further afield, consider taking a day or two to explore the sumptuous Yarra Valley. This little pocket just outside Melbourne is known as the ‘Food Bowl’ of Australia for its endless wineries and farms, and it promises any traveller countless delicious feasts and drinks along the way.

But if the open road is calling your name, you should head out to the famous 243-kilometre stretch between Torquay and Allansford. Better known as the Great Ocean Road, this drive is widely regarded as the best in Australia, and is well worth the trip for its beaches, seaside towns and hidden gems at every turn. Or of course, you could take your Clayton car rental and head south, visiting the many delights of the Mornington Peninsula. This is a getaway that’s brimming with attractions, from natural hot springs and golf to wineries and hours spent relaxing by the beach.
