Things to see and do in Port Lincoln

Ballina is all about the beach, so it's no surprise that most of the activities available are water bound. Enjoy some time kayaking around Ballina Island, or simply spend the day in the surf - but don't forget to slip, slop, slap!

A must whilst in Ballina is joining one of the whale watching boats where you might just be lucky enough to see one of the migrating whales (usually from June to November). Alternatively drive to one of the popular vantage points for whale watching in the Ballina/Byron Bay area, such as the Ballina North Wall, Ballina Lighthouse Hill car park, Angels Beach viewing platform, Flat Rock viewing platform, Skennar's Head, Boulders Beach headland or Rocky Point.

Love animals? Then stop by the Australian Seabird Rescue Wildlifelink Sanctuary and Sea Turtle Hospital (ASR) where you can get a personalised tour and learn more about the truly inspiring animal protection activities that are being run in the area.
