Let’s start the day early and watch the sunrise from one of the many nearby beaches to Brookvale Downtown. You have ample choices, like Curl Curl, Manly, Dee Why, and Collaroy. Each beach is wonderfully unique and you’ll get a great view from the shore! 

There are plenty of cafes around Brookvale and the surrounding areas. If you want to remain local, cafes like Elk and Bean, Nine Yards, and Leaf Cafe & Co are all great choices. You  can also have a great morning coffee at Balmoral Beach, which is a cool 20-minute drive from Brookvale. Head straight to The Boathouse and enjoy epic views as you sip your morning latte. Pure bliss. 

If you fancy an afternoon stroll, Palm Beach is just a 30-minute drive away. Home to the glorious lighthouse walk, you’ll get the famous split picture as you stride up towards Barrenjoey Lighthouse. At the top, make sure to take some time to enjoy the views of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, Broken Bay and the Central Coast.

Night-time can be a whole load of fun in Sydney. Why not drive down to Manly and get the iconic ferry over to the main CBD? Have dinner and a drink at the Opera House Bar before heading inside to one of the shows! The perfect evening. 

Let’s Explore Brookvale with Thrifty

Of course, no trip to Brookvale or Sydney would be complete without a road trip! Luckily, there are plenty of fantastic options all within an easy drive of Brookvale. 

Sydney is  home to some epic hikes. For example, Spit to Manly is an exciting hike that takes you through some gorgeous views. Bring your bathers, as Manly has three beaches that will be the perfect post-hike dip. Located in Sydney Harbour National Park is Bradleys Head to Chowder Bay walk, which promises another picture-perfect adventure. 

As we head outside of Sydney, let’s drive down to the Royal National Park. This is the oldest national park in Australia and is home to some famous sights, like Wedding Cake Rock and the Figure 8 Pools. Head to Wattamolla or Garie Beach if you want an idyllic beach day somewhere quieter than the Sydney beaches.
