Williamtown Airport Information

After you refuel your vehicle, follow the Car Rental Return Signs. Please Park your car in one of our allocated bays and hand keys in, to one of our friendly staff members.

If returning your vehicle outside of business hours simply park in one of the allocated bays, lock the car and place keys in our Key Drop Box which is located inside the Arrivals terminal.

To request after hours reservations, please call our reservations team. 

If you are running late and you won't be able to collect your rental car at the allocated time, it is important to get in touch with the staff at the Williamtown Airport branch so that we can make alternate arrangements. If you have arrived at the branch and it is closed and if you haven't made prior arrangements for an after-hours collection you will need to pick-up your rental car the following day. Please contact our branch during business hours to arrange an alternative pick-up time.

In fact, you’ll be spoilt for choice, with surfing and swimming common in the summer, and humpback whale watching a firm favourite in the winter months!

If you’re looking for a holiday that’s full of fun in the sun, then it’s time to hit the beach. Newcastle is home to some glorious white-sanded, rugged beaches. From dawn until dusk, you’ll be able to watch endless surfers try out the waves - and with surf lessons available, you can have a go, too! Newcastle has six beaches, two ocean baths and the Bogey Hole to choose from, so you’ll have to pack plenty of bathers. 

If you fancy a bit of a roadie, let’s drive on up to Port Stephens. This day trip is simply epic, with Mount Tomaree providing endless picture-perfect moments for tourists, year-round. Try staying up the mountain until sunset - it’s simply magical. 

If you fancy some adrenaline, let’s go to the sand dunes! Plenty of tour companies offer 4WD drives over the dunes in Port Stephens, so brace yourselves for an afternoon of pure fun! If you want to explore the sand at a slower pace, there are camel rides at Stockton Beach. 

If you choose to stay overnight in Port Stephens, we understand why. Best book ahead and get up early, so that you can make the most of trips like dolphin canoeing and boat tours. It’s a once in a lifetime experience! These trips book up fast, so make sure to plan ahead!

Food and More in Newcastle

For our early risers, let’s get a good brekky in before your day of exploring. Cafes like The Shed Cafe, Blue Door, and Bolton Street Pantry are all superb, you’ll leave feeling full and energised for your day ahead!

If you have a designated driver, why not take the one-hour trip over to the Hunter? This famous valley is home to some of Australia’s finest wineries. But, that’s not all - Hunter Valley is full of fine dining, chocolatiers, as well as events and concerts! It’s certainly a fantastic place to visit, just make sure to plan ahead and drive within Australian laws. 

Let’s end the day with some delicious food. Newcastle is home to some amazing eateries, like Subo, Rustica Newcastle Beach, and MEET. Afterwards, make sure to head to Beaumont Street, King Street, Darby Street and Newcastle East for some post food drinks!
