Another popular local swimming spot is Allans Flat Reserve. It’s a popular swimming hole amongst the locals - created during the gold rush days, it’s an ideal location to spend the warm summer months. 

Castle Creek is great for those who want to spend the day hiking. A popular track is the Castle Creek Nature Trail - it’s loved by many due to its relatively short distance of four kilometres, and beautiful scenery. Make sure to plan out your route carefully and according to your own fitness levels - the tracks in Castle Creek vary greatly, so you don’t want to take on more than you bargained for on your hike!
