Car Rental Fyshwick Downtown

Fyshwick is just a short 10-minute drive from the heart of Canberra. When you rent a car from Fyshwick, everything in Canberra is available just a short drive away. Canberra is filled with so many places to drive to and activities to engage and enjoy. One of the great aspects of Canberra is its position; nestled within NSW, you are just a short drive from many of regional NSW’s tourist spots. You could even drive from Fyshwick in your rental car to Sydney in under 3 hours! Passing by towns such as Goulburn and National Parks such as Nattai National Park. The drive from Canberra to Sydney is a popular one; adding Kosciuszko National Park, which sits southwest of Canberra, is also a great drive.

Many of the best things in Canberra are free, with museums and galleries offering fantastic tours and world-class exhibitions that won't cost you a cent. Start off your trip to Canberra and Fyshwick with a visit to the Australian War Memorial. The Memorial acts as both a shrine and a museum, with artefacts and objects that tell the story of Australia's military history. There are permanent gallery spaces as well as revolving exhibitions. There are free tours of the centre every day with one of the many knowledgeable volunteers. If you have a family member that served in the armed forces and wish to know more, you can visit the research centre and track down their service record and perhaps some photographs.

Our nation's capital is a great place to learn about our history and what it is to be Australian.
