Love the outdoors but not too fond of camping? Then glamping is your perfect summer solution. Glamping combines the creature comforts of hotels with the serenity of being in nature.

Now if there’s anywhere in Australia that should be on your glamping radar – it’s Jervis Bay.

The stunning seaside town which boasts the whitest sand in Australia (if not, ahem, the world) sits in the South Coast of New South Wales, located an almost equal distance between Sydney and Canberra. The drive from either city will take approximately three hours. With numerous Thrifty car hire locations in both Sydney and Canberra, why not pick up your ride and take off for an ultimate glamping road trip to Jervis Bay this Summer? Indeed – Thrifty can make your glamping dreams come true!

The best beaches in Jervis Bay

Given the pristine coastline, there’s no wrong decision when it comes to selecting where to stay in Jervis Bay. The 102-square kilometre bay is full of dreamy coastal scenes waiting for you to take that much needed holiday break.

The most popular ones however are; Hyams Beach, Murrays Beach and Greenfields Beach.

Where to stay in Jervis Bay

There’s no shortage of Jervis Bay accommodation options, but the hardest part is choosing which beachfront style you want to opt for!

There are of course plenty of cabins and resorts, self-catered apartments and camping spots to pitch a tent, but we highly recommend glamping in one of the holiday parks in Jervis Bay.

Once you’ve packed your vehicle, your crew, and are ready to get glamping. Glamping Out can help you facilitate your glamping needs. They’ll set up your luxury tent, with all the perks, in any holiday park in Jervis Bay and surrounding areas. Simply choose your dates and your tent package (The Luxe Suite Tent looks oh so lush), plus booking your spot in the campsite separately. This preparation ensures you rock up to your luxury glamping experience with everything already sorted.

Hyams Beach

Pure white sand is the name of the game here, as it stretches far and wide – making it the ideal spot to spend a day laying out with a book in hand and sunscreen slathered. The water is incredibly refreshing, so definitely go in for a dip. Then once you’re ready for a bit of a stroll, take the Hyams Beach Trail for epic views and birdwatching opportunities.

Murrays Beach

Tucked within Booderee National Park, Murrays Beach is a family favourite and an absolute gem. A great spot for snorkelling, plenty of walks and a local haunt for friendly wallabies, there’s plenty going on to spend a day (or three) relaxing on Murrays. There’s also a boat ramp should you wish to head out or dock for the night.

Greenfields Beach

We can’t decide if it’s the shimmering sand, the trees that hug the shoreline or the breathtaking beach that make Greenfields Beach a standout. Another popular spot for big groups and families, as there’s plenty of room to get the barbie going, overlooking the crystal waters. Take the White Sands Walk all the way back to Hyams Beach and experience both in one day.

There’s no doubt about it, glamping in Jervis Bay is well and truly on our holiday itinerary. Is it on yours too? Get in early and reserve your camping spot, your luxury tent and of course, your hire car. Then get set to bask in the warmth of the south coast sun!
