Thrifty are proud to be recognised for kindness during Covid-19, winning a CHOICE Shiny 2020 award
Since launching our Here to Help campaign for our Health Care heroes in April and May, we offered free car rentals to our front line workers. The results were; over 550 vehicles provided with more than 13,700 days of free care hire to keep them safe on their journey.
With over 700 nominations for the CHOICE Shiny awards, winners were chosen for genuine care and concern for the community. Thrifty was recognised for our kindness during the Pandemic and are proud to show we help keep moving!

We have done it again!
We are proud to be finalist for the 2018 Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) National Travel Industry Award.
AFTA has been hosting the NTIA every year to recognise excellence within the industry. We are excited to have three consecutive finalist nominations. This reflects our ongoing commitment to providing out customers the best car rental experience in Australia.

Thrifty wins Canstar Blue Award for Most Satisfied Customers and Value For Money - Hire Cars 2017
No.1 in Hire Cars
Australian-owned Thrifty was the only hire car operator to receive five stars for overall customer satisfaction and all other Canstar Blue research categories including cost transparency, booking process, vehicle availability and customer service.
Thrifty leads the way as the most value for money and customer satisfaction in Australia beating Budget and Hertz who both received four stars overall and AVIS and Europcar who both received three stars. It is the first time Thrifty has been rated highest overall.
Thrifty CEO, Graham Ward, said winning the Award was a huge honour for Thrifty and a great motivation to keep putting customers first.
“Thrifty is committed to providing a happy car rental experience to all our customers at all points of their journey with us,” Mr Ward said.
“Our teams across the country have a culture of putting people at the centre of everything we do. Being voted five stars across all key categories like customer service, vehicle quality, value-for-money and overall satisfaction is a humbling endorsement of our Thrifty values and the way we work. This is in recognition of the outstanding customer service provided, with the aggregated score of 9.5 out of 10.
We're also pleased to have won feefo's 2017 Trusted Service Award for delivering exceptional experiences as rated by real customers. feefo is a leading online review platform.
