Thrifty gets behind Telethon
For many years Thrifty WA has supported Telethon with cars, people movers and trucks for their extensive transport needs over the Telethon telecast weekend. But in 2010, the car and truck WA franchise is increasing its sponsorship by becoming a financial supporter.
Between July and September 2010 (inclusive), $20 from every Thrifty WA moving van rental will be donated to Telethon. So by renting anything from a Hiace delivery van to a small or medium sized moving van; $20 of your rental will help Telethon help the kids.
Thrifty WA General Manager, Craig Bedell said that Thrifty WA's support of Telethon underpinned the company's commitment to back West Australians and the local community.
''The Thrifty franchise in Western Australia is a local, family owned and operated business. The Bedell family has been a part of the fabric of the WA car rental industry for over 30 years, and hence we feel strongly parochial about supporting this state,''Craig said.
Telethon Events and Marketing Manager, Chrissie Maus was delighted to welcome Thrifty as a financial supporter.
"Telethon and Thrifty WA are a perfect fit. Both brands are iconic to WA and the new level partnership has felt right from the initial conception of the idea. We are so thrilled with the generosity of Thrifty WA and are so proud to have them part of the Telethon family in a larger capacity in 2010,." Chrissie said.
Thrifty WA is committed to being locally focused in delivering the best value rental company in the State. With around 2,500 vehicles, and a branch network of 14 locations across the state, Thrifty WA offers a full complement of passenger and commercial vehicles (including fully mine-equipped vehicles), catering for retail and corporate customers, both in metropolitan Perth and in the regional hubs across the state.
Thrifty WA is a booming local family business forming part of the national and international Thrifty brand - a combination of local knowledge and global strength.
