Thrifty WA Makes a Difference Helping the WA Community
Thrifty WA recently joined the Make a Difference Foundation WA (MADWA) in partnership to hold the annual Thrifty WA Corporate Charity Golf Classic at Joondalup Golf Resort and launch the Foundation's latest charity project to give support and raise funds towards Assistance Dogs Australia (ADA) in Western Australia.
Held at the beautiful grounds of the Joondalup Golf Resort last month, Thrifty WA hosted corporate partners, clients and friends along with numerous other corporate sponsors. In total, over 160 participants and special guests attended the day geared to raising funds for Assistance Dogs Australia (ADA) in Western Australia
Thrifty WA General Manager, Craig Bedell hailed the day as a resounding success.
"The Thrifty Golf Classic promised to be a great day of golf in support of this very worthwhile cause. It certainly delivered," he said.
The Make a Difference Foundation WA was founded three years ago with Australian Cricket Legend, Justin Langer as Patron. The foundation's main aim was to make a difference to Western Australian's who are in necessitous circumstances and in desperate need of helping hand.
Many Western Australians living with physical disabilities are on a waiting list for an Assistance or Companion Dog. Funds raised by Thrifty WA and MADWA will give invaluable support to Assistance Dogs Australia to further train and provide assistance or companion dogs to West Australians living with physical disabilities and give them a better independent lifestyle.
MADWA CEO, Ron Conway warmly thanked Thrifty WA, Joondalup Resort, and the wider corporate community for throwing their weight behind this event.
