Thrifty Expands into Geraldton

THRIFTY WA announced today that it will commence operations in Geraldton with the opening of a new branch on 5 May 2009.

The new Thrifty branch, located at the Geraldton-Greenough Airport and will offer a full complement of passenger and service vehicles including a large range of small vans with automatic transmissions, which can be driven with a standard C-class licence.

Thrifty WA State Marketing Manager, Thai Pham said the company's expansion into the Geraldton market was in direct response to the growing business demands in the regional city.

"Geraldton is a booming business hub, with a thriving community that has an increasing demand for car and truck rentals. Thrifty now offers a real alternative to existing operators, bringing with it the trust and reliability that comes with the Thrifty name,"

"Thrifty will be employing two-three local Geraldton residents to staff sales, front counter and workshop operations," Mr Pham said.

As an opening special, Thrifty is offering 20% discount on rentals of cars, trucks and vans paid by credit card. This offer is valid for all bookings made before 30 June 2009.
