Thrifty Lends a Hand to Badgingarra Residents
After the severity of fires that ravaged Toodyay late last year, the Badgingarra community suffered a similar fate, with over 10,000 hectares of land and numerous amounts of stock destroyed in fires just prior to New Year.
As they did with Toodyay, Thrifty WA has offered assistance to Badgingarra residents.
Effective immediately, the Thrifty Geraldton branch (located the Geraldton-Greenough Airport) will provide Badgingarra residents with 20% discount on all vehicles.
This offer has been praised by WA State Government MLC, Hon Jim Chown, the Member for the Agricultural Region.
"This offer to the residents of Badgingarra is most welcome," said Mr. Chown.
"Vehicles are often one of those things which we take for granted, except when they have been damaged or are no longer there."
"I am sure that the offer will be warmly received by the residents of Badgingarra, and I commend the community spirit shown by Thrifty by lending a hand to both Badgingarra and Toodyay residents."
Thrifty WA State marketing manager Thai Pham said that Thrifty WA was committed to assisting both towns now faced with the task of rebuilding their communities.
"It is in a small way that we are providing assistance, but we are hoping that it makes a real difference as Badgingarra rebuilds."
The 20 per cent discount is valid to 30 June 2010 for pick-ups from the Geraldton-Greenough Airport branch of Thrifty Car and Truck Rental, and covers the entire range of vehicles including trucks and four wheel drives. Badgingarra residents need to call 136 139 for all bookings and must quote code WS164. All standard terms and conditions apply.
