Thrifty WA to Come to Assistance of Toodyay Bushfire Victims
In a move that has been welcomed by Agricultural Region MLC Jim Chown, Thrifty WA has announced that it will be offering a 20% discount to Toodyay residents on its entire range of vehicles in order to assist the victims of last week's bushfires.
"This offer to the residents of Toodyay whose vehicles have been damaged, or who require a larger truck or van to help in rebuilding their lives is most welcome," said Mr. Chown.
"Vehicles are often one of those things which we take for granted, except when they have been damaged or are no longer there."
"I am sure that the offer will be warmly received by the residents of Toodyay, and I commend the support given to the Toodyay community by Thrifty."
"The assistance and generosity that the people and businesses of Western Australia have given to the victims of the Toodyay bush fires has been nothing short of amazing and is a true testament to the community spirit of the State," said Mr. Chown.
Thrifty WA State marketing manager Thai Pham said that Thrifty WA was committed to assisting the residents of Toodyay who are now faced with the task of rebuilding their community.
"At this time, Toodyay residents require considerable community support. In our small way, Thrifty welcomes the opportunity to provide assistance with discounted vehicle hire."
The 20 per cent discount is valid to 30 June 2010 for pick-ups from the Welshpool, Bassendean, Osborne Park and Fremantle Thrifty WA branches, and covers the entire range of vehicles including trucks and four wheel drives. Toodyay residents need to call 136 139 for all bookings and must quote code WS164. All standard terms and conditions apply.
