Important: Effective 01 April Thrifty will be making changes to the Preferred Protection Levels.

We will now be offering 3 Optional Renter Protection Services:

STANDARD COVER (SC) - Your rates include Standard Cover for the Thrifty vehicle and 3rd party property notification. In the event of damage a $3,300 Damage Recovery Fee will apply. In the event of a Single Vehicle Accident an additional Recovery Fee $2,200 may apply. There will be no change for members with this option.

ULTIMATE PROTECTION (UP) - Is only available from selected Metropolitan locations. It is at $33.00 per day inc GST and reduces your Damage Recovery Fee and Single Vehicle Accident Recovery Fee to NIL. Accidental Tyre and Windscreen Damage is also covered. Members have the option to upgrade their profile preference to UP at time of collection.

PREMIUM PROTECTION (PP) - Is at $27.00 per day inc GST (price based on passenger vehicles) and reduces your Damage Recovery Fee. The Single Vehicle Accident Recovery Fee is still applicable. Members who currently have the PP option will automatically default to this protection service however have the option to upgrade their profile preference to UP is available at time of collection.

For Members who currently have the RENTER PROTECTION (RP) option against their profile - this option will BECOME REDUNDANT. Members will have to upgrade their profile preference to one of the above options at time of collection.
