Making things easy
Hi Thrifty. I am currently studying at a NZ Travel and Tourism school and we are doing a project that involves finding information about accommodation, rentals, attractions, activities, you name it.
When it comes to finding information about vehicle rentals, it's difficult to find the appropriate information on certain websites.
Thrifty has been the best website so far and I just want to thank you for making it an easy process. Your website has been great for me to find the information I need quickly, and I believe it is right to praise your company/ website for making it easy.
Taking away the pain
All aspects of this particular car hire experience were fabulous. I hired the car as I was in Sydney to attend my grandmother's funeral – a very stressful time for both myself and my mother, who was travelling with me.
When we arrived to pick up the car we were given a free upgrade and all aspects of obtaining the car were painless as was driving the vehicle itself – a truly beautiful car.
Thank you so much to all at Thrifty for making an awful time a lot less stressful.
My experience was great. I had hired cars from Thrifty at each end of my holiday between Cairns and Port Douglas and the service at each depot was excellent.
I particularly want to thank the team in Cairns. I had left my camera in the boot of the car but didn't realise this until I was back home in Melbourne. I contacted the Cairns office the next day and they located it for me immediately. As requested, I sent them a self-addressed envelope and the camera was returned in a timely manner (special thanks to Judy McKenzie whose name was on the envelope).
So not only did I get a much cheaper deal by using your website rather than by dealing directly with the hire companies but I also received wonderful service in relation to my camera. Thanks to everyone.
Lucy saves the day
At 11.30 am we returned a ford XR6 in pouring rain, because the wipers stopped working. We needed another car urgently as we needed to pick up our daughter from the royal Hobart hospital in a wheelchair at 12.00pm to take her to lunch during her battle with a serious illness.
Within minutes you were able to organize another car and send us on our way. We really appreciated your happy, friendly service on that day.
Please pass our thoughts on to your manager, because we really feel that you are a very valued young lady, and we wish you well in the future.
Thrifty's race against the clock
I would like to commend Ms. Rene Harris for exceptional customer service. Ms Harris works at the Sydney Airport Thrifty office and showed pure Customer Driven tenacity in trying to locate me after I had left my wallet in the hire car.
My phone had been left on silent after meetings all day and as I went to turn it off before boarding my aircraft I noticed 5 missed calls and messages. After I made contact with Ms Harris and informed her I was boarding she could have obtained a forwarding address and posted my wallet.
She didn't. Instead she took it upon herself to run the entire way and battle through security to ensure I had my wallet before my flight left. I also offered her monetary compensation ranging from $50 to $5 - she would not take a cent.
Exceptional customer service is a rare thing but Thrifty has at least one employee who lives up to the name. Thank You.
Thrifty has full reception
A big word of thanks and appreciation to Ben Winn, who assisted my wife in retrieving her mobile phone left behind in a Thrifty car we'd hired in Brisbane whilst travelling there.
Ben's professionalism and care, will most certainly make our next trip abroad be a Thrifty based trip - as without his attention, energy and communication, I believe we wouldn't have seen my wife's mobile phone again.

Thrifty to the rescue
Hi there, this is more of a thank you for a particular person that helped me at Sydney Domestic Airport of Monday 30th around lunch time. I dont know how else to contact the person, her name is Kelly but I don't know her last name.
I was returning a car to Europcar actually but had to make a quick stop into the area where she was as I was very sick and needed an ambulance called. She stayed by myself and my partner to make sure I was ok. If I can get a message to her that I am fine and thank you so much for all her help that day. Needless to say it was a long trip home to Perth. Thanks very much :)
