I'd like to know more about how Blue Chip membership works
Q. How long will it take to receive my Blue Chip details?
A. You'll receive your Blue Chip Membership Number via email within 48 hours of submitting your application. Your Blue Chip Membership Card will arrive within 2 weeks.
Q. Can I make an urgent Blue Chip booking before I've received my Blue Chip Membership Number?
A. Yes! Simply make the booking via the website or through our Reservations Department and once you have received your booking confirmation email bluechip@thrifty.com.au or call 02 8337 2914 so we can add your Blue Chip details to your booking.
Q. What do I need to collect a Thrifty hire vehicle?
A. A smile, your Blue Chip Membership Card and your Australian Drivers Licence.
Q. I still haven't received my Blue Chip Membership Card but I have a car rental taking place.
A. No drama. Collect your hire car, advise our counter staff that you're a new member waiting on your membership card, and they'll extend our famous Preferred Member service to you!
Q. Why can't I see my Qantas Frequent Flyer Number when I make a booking?
A. Don't worry, your frequent flyer details will be attached to your booking. We don't want you to have to worry about checking your Frequent Flyer number every time you make a booking. Just ensure that it's attached to your profile. We'll do the rest. We promise.
Q. Can I add a partner/colleague to my Blue Chip profile?
A. Unfortunately not. Blue Chip membership is as individual membership that can only be used by the person whose name appears on the card. It's a privacy thing too, your Blue Chip profile contains specific and personal information such as Drivers' License details and Date of Birth. The easiest solution is to add partners or colleagues to the car rental contract upon collection. If they're still jealous of your red carpet treatment, they should consider starting up their own Blue Chip Membership!
Q. How do I enjoy discounts offered through the Preferred Partners?

Q. I've forgotten my login password.
A. Australian Blue Chip Members don't need a password to log in. Just ensure that you're on the Australian website www.thrifty.com.au where your only requirement to log in is your Blue Chip Membership Number and Surname.
Q. I want to make a car hire booking for overseas but my Blue Chip Number doesn't seem to work?
A. For security reasons, your Blue Chip details are not recognised internationally. But don't despair - international rental car reservations can be made by visiting our worldly cousins at www.thrifty.com. You'll still be recognised as an International member, and to ensure you receive Blue Chip Member service, enter the code BC01 in the Promotion Number Field and remove your Blue Chip Number from the Blue Chip Number field. This will secure your Blue Chip preferred member car rental rates and recognition of your membership. Upon arrival, simply line up in the Blue Chip area with your Blue Chip card, Drivers License and credit card, and prepare to enjoy the great Blue Chip service you're used to. The worldwide agreement states that you'll receive preferred service and an upgrade to a higher class of rental vehicle, subject to availability.
