Q. How long will it take to receive my Blue Chip details?
A. You will receive your Blue Chip Membership Number via email within 48 hours of submitting your application and your Blue Chip Membership Card within 3 weeks.
Q. Can I make an urgent Blue Chip booking even though I have not received my Blue Chip Membership Number yet?
A. Yes - simply advise the Reservations staff member that you have just submitted an application form to the Blue Chip Program and they will proceed to provide you with the Blue Chip rates and confirmation. The Reservations staff member will then email the Blue Chip Department with the details to ensure your Blue Chip Membership Number is added to the reservation.
Q. What do I need to produce when I collect a Thrifty vehicle?
A. You are required to produce your Blue Chip Membership Card and Drivers Licence.
Q. I still have not received my Blue Chip Membership Card but I have a rental taking place?
A. Upon collection, simply advise our Counter staff that you are a new member waiting on your membership card and they will continue to service you as one of our Preferred Members.
Q. Can my partner / colleague be added to my Blue Chip profile?
A. No. Blue Chip membership is an individual membership that can only be used by the person whose name appears on the card. This is because the Blue Chip profile contains specific and personal information of the member, such as Drivers Licence details and Date of Birth. Partners or colleagues can be added to the rental contract upon collection each time or establish their own Blue Chip Membership
Q. How do I take advantage of the discounts offered through the Preferred Partners?
A. Visit the Preferred Partners page on our website www.thrifty.com.au or contact the Blue Chip Department on 02 8337 2914 or email bluechip@thrifty.com.au for further details or assistance.
Q. It keeps asking for a password when I attempt to log in, but I can't recall my password?
A. Australian Blue Chip Members do not require a password to log in. Ensure that you are on the Australian website www.thrifty.com.au where you're only requirement to log in is your Blue Chip Membership Number and Surname.
Q. I want to make a booking for overseas but it is not recognising my Blue Chip Number?
A. International reservations can be made by visiting the international website www.thrifty.com. Unfortunately your Blue Chip details are not recognised internationally but you are recognised as an International member. To ensure you receive the Blue Chip Member service, when making an international reservation, enter the code BC01 in the Promotion Number Field and remove your Blue Chip Number from the Blue Chip Number field. This will provide you with the Blue Chip preferred member rates and recognition of your membership. Then upon arrival simply line up in the Blue Chip area with your Blue Chip card, Drivers Licence and credit card. The world wide agreement is that you will receive preferred service and a vehicle upgrade (subject to availability).
